Competence Library

This is where you’ll find all the competencies within the system. Each competence unit (or unit as it is often shortened to) consists of one or more elements, with each element having one or more tasks. Here you can:

  • Search for existing competencies using the “Search” field

  • Add new competencies by clicking the “Add” button

  • Update existing competencies using the ‘Actions’ button then ‘Update’ field

  • Duplicate existing competencies using the ‘Actions’ button then ‘Duplicate’ field

Adding and updating a new competency 

  • Click the ‘Add’ button

  • Fill in the Name, Sub Heading, Awarding Body and Description fields

  • Click Create Competence Assessment

  •  Click ‘Add Competence Unit’

  • Upload any necessary Documents by clicking ‘Upload Document’

  • Add competence units by filling in the Name, Description, Risk Ranking and Safety Ranking
